Day 1 — Arrival in Leh (3,500 m)

Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, Leh, guests will be received by our representative and transferred to the hotel. As Leh is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters above sea level, the day is reserved for rest and acclimatisation to prevent altitude-related discomfort. Guests are advised to relax, hydrate adequately, and avoid physical exertion. In the late afternoon, subject to guests’ health condition, a short orientation visit to Leh town will be arranged. The visit includes the local Leh Market for an introduction to the town, the historic Leh Palace which overlooks the old settlement, and the serene Shanti Stupa offering panoramic sunset views of Leh and the surrounding mountain ranges. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
